  1. Happy weekend, happy, happy day to the birthday boy!

  2. Dearest Laura,

I am reading your letter dated December 10, 2008 to us(Ray&Janice). Your very kind words are appreciated more than you will ever know. I did make sure the mirror in your personal bathroom downstairs was adjusted higher just for you. You will always have your private room downstairs as long as the good Lord let’s me live.

I too, have special memories of the days when I had the privilege of teaching(?) the college class. I would hope that our interaction had more to do with memories than my attempt to speak God’s word. I wasn’t and never will be more than a servant trying to help people. I say that with much humility because I am not worthy and fall short daily. You were always one of my favorites and I am so proud of your personal and professional accomplishments. Your beautiful family and successful business demonstrates the positive outcomes of commitment, faith and hard work. Sorry, I should have left the hard work off(just kidding).

I too, will never forget the conversations we have enjoyed on your visits to our home every October. It is so special to be close enough to a friend to share things that are very deep in your heart and mind. I guess the rambling from your Tennessee Hillbilly friend should cease.

I do want you to know that you are loved dearly and will always be special to me. May our God continue to Bless you in everything you do.

    Merry Christmas,

    Ray
