We Have Lift-off!

Our boys just left for a trip to Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Pennsylvania – by themselves – for about a week. You can see from this photo that neither one of them appear to have any separation anxiety issues.
Aaron is actually wearing his bathing suit already. Because after 7 or 8 hours in the car today, he is not going to want to wait one more minute to jump in Mom and Dad’s pool.
I hope Ligonier is ready for the Doolittle boys!
Deck Update
Great progress is being made on our deck. Here is an update showing the posts in place and the floor joists installed. Everything should be done by the end of the week.
The icing on the cake is going to be the fantastic fire pit that my neighbor across the street is building for me. He welded most of it together yesterday afternoon and is just putting some finishing touches on it before it is ready. I can’t wait to use it!

It’s timely to post this photo of the 1963 newlyweds…you can see that they’ve aged well…although after a week with the boys, there may be many more grey hairs!
And – next trip to the mainland, I want to see that home of yours!
